Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in corporate credit analysis, MSME Credit, trade finance, or related banking roles.
- In-depth knowledge of trade finance products, including Letters of Credit and documentary collections.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial analysis and risk assessment.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in relevant banking software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with local and international banking and trade regulations, especially related to CIC and SBV compliance.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred:
- Certifications in finance or trade finance (e.g., CDCS, CFA, CTFP).
- Experience with structured finance or cross-border transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Credit Assessment and Analysis:
- The candidate should have good understanding of credit, as per the laws of Vietnam. The candidate should evaluate financial statements and credit data to determine the risk associated with corporate clients.
- Assess creditworthiness by analyzing financial ratios, cash flow projections, and overall business models.
- Prepare comprehensive credit proposals with detailed risk analysis and recommendations for approval or rejection, knowledge over documentation, creation of various types of change over asset financed by bank.
2. Trade Finance Operations:
- Process and manage trade finance instruments such as Letters of Credit (LCs), Bank Guarantees, Documentary Collections, and Bills of Exchange.
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and UCP (Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits) standards.
- Oversee issuance, amendments, and payments under trade finance instruments.
3. Client Interaction and Relationship Management:
- Maintain strong relationships with corporate clients to understand their financing needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Advise clients on structuring trade finance deals and optimizing their working capital requirements.
- Act as a key point of contact for corporate clients, ensuring excellent customer service and timely support.
4. Portfolio Management:
- Monitor and manage existing corporate credit and trade finance portfolios, ensuring timely repayments and managing delinquent accounts.
- Analyze portfolio trends and report on potential risks and opportunities.
- Contacting peer banks for placement and monitor the maturity of placements.
5. Documentation and Compliance:
- Prepare and review loan and trade finance documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal and external regulations.
- Coordinate with the legal team and external parties to ensure all contracts and agreements are enforceable as per laws of Vietnam.
- Stay updated on local and international compliance requirements related to trade finance and credit risk.
6. Regulatory Reporting (CIC and SBV):
- Prepare and submit credit reports to the Credit Information Center (CIC) as required.
- Ensure all reports meet the standards and timelines set by the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) and comply with local regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all reported data, and promptly address any discrepancies or updates as mandated by regulations.
- Collaborate with compliance and risk teams to ensure that all reporting activities align with the latest regulatory guidelines and standards.
7. Collaboration:
- Work closely with risk management, legal, and operations teams to streamline credit and trade finance processes.
- Collaborate with sales and business development teams to identify new trade finance opportunities and expand the client base.
8. Reporting:
- Generate detailed reports on credit approvals, trade finance activities, and client portfolios.
- Provide management with key insights and data for strategic decision-making.
