Job Overview:

The Footwear Development Officer ensures customer standards are met throughout footwear development and production. This role requires technical expertise and merchandising skills to align products with specifications, quality, and timelines. Responsibilities include factory monitoring, quality control, and corrective actions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Customer Standards & Product Development

  • Maintain and implement brand technical standards.
  • Convert customer specifications into actionable factory guidelines.
  • Monitor adherence to standards and address deviations proactively.
  • Oversee development from tech pack to production.
  • Ensure pattern, last, and materials meet customer expectations.

2. Quality & Sample Verification

  • Identify and document production defects early.
  • Develop and monitor correction plans to ensure product compliance.
  • Conduct pre-submission quality checks on samples.
  • Implement customer feedback for continuous improvements.

3. Production Oversight & Documentation

  • Ensure production consistency with approved designs.
  • Conduct regular audits and resolve deviations immediately.
  • Maintain accurate records of quality control and corrective actions.
  • Use quality management systems to track and prevent issues.

4. Collaboration & Compliance

  • Coordinate with QC teams, production teams, and suppliers.
  • Enforce compliance with international quality standards (SATRA, ISO, etc.).
  • Communicate technical standards effectively across teams.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor‘s in Footwear Technology, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5-10 years in footwear development, production, and quality control.
  • Strong background in standards implementation and corrective actions.

Technical & Professional Skills

  • Expertise in footwear construction, materials, and defect analysis.
  • Proficient in quality control systems and international standards.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Vietnamese candidate, who is fluent in English (for written and communication)
