KEY SERVICE REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to travel frequently.
- 3+ years of experience in engineering, manufacturing or Quality Control.
- BS in Mechanical/Electro-mechanical/Industrial Engineering, MS is a plus.
- Demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills, with good English.
- Experience developing process quality plans, supplier quality audits, and driving corrective actions and failure analysis efforts.
- Working knowledge of mechanical quality and reliability concepts, supplier management, and general manufacturing operations.
- Experience with the development and evaluation of measurement systems.
- Knowledge and ability to execute limit sample analysis in manufacturing settings.
- Experience with any of the following: mechanical enclosures, textiles, leather, castings, plastic parts, injection molding, tooling, jigs, fixtures, or high volume manufacturing quality engineering (e.g. Automotive, Consumer Electronics, Medical Devices, etc.)
- Has data analysis ability, able to utilize data analysis tools to discover the clues of inherence of data.
- Project management experience and an understanding of problem solving tools including design of experiments, root cause analysis and statistical analytical tools.
SERVICE DESCRIPTION:
Assist or play as MQE role:
- Involve in new product development, work with Engineering and Technical team to conduct design and process maturity study, define product quality requirements and manufacturing control plan.
- Develop metrology on new product, conduct supply chain spec alignment, correlation activities.
- Drive Failure analysis, corrective action implementation plan, and yield bridge to mass production. Influence designs so that they are manufacturable.
- Review supplier’s quality control flow, in-process quality control system, in-coming components and out-going product’s quality control plan.
- Collaborate with multiple function teams, Engineering, Operations, and Quality as well as various suppliers during the new products builds at OEM supplier and final assemble sites.
Key deliverables will include:
- Review Engineering Drawing.
- Metrology (MTD) study for parts measurement.
- Work with vendor on gauge and fixtures design, and drive their qualifications.
- Conduct Measurement System Analysis to manage the measurement errors.
- Collect manufacturing data and do statistic analysis, e.g. process capability study, yield study, and etc.
- Provide creative solutions for the identified engineering challenges or issues.
- Collect representative production level samples and the data associated with the samples.
- Discover new technology solutions on the identified directions.
- Present analysis results and reports to management team.
- Interface with other functional groups as part of mechanical quality engineering team to achieve the objectives and goals.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Example for PVD MQE:
- Experience in hands-on development of PVD, DLC and CVD coatings in Mass Production Environment.
- Experience establishing and validating Reliability requirements for decorative and functional coatings.
- Expertise using advanced analytical metrology techniques (such as XRF, SEM, EDS, FTIR, TEM, & XPS) to characterize coating quality or troubleshoot failure modes and drive corrective actions. - Example for Antenna MQE:
- Experience in quality management or process development of mechanical or electronic products/components. Antenna or RF products’ background is preferred.
