In 2022 Meggitt was acquired by Parker Hannifin, and we become Parker Meggitt Vietnam, located in Bien Hoa 2 Industrial Park, specializes in:
- Manufacturing and assembly: Engines and control systems for the aerospace industries.
- Repair and maintenance: Services for aerospace equipment and warranty services for their products.
- Expansion: The facility has grown significantly, doubling its size to 120,000 square feet, making it a global center of excellence and a low-cost manufacturing and supply chain base.
We want to hire:
· 2 “Senior Tactical Buyers”, 1 for electronics components and PCBA (printed Circuit Boards), 1 either in machined parts- raw material or casting & forging, hardware & kitting
· 1 “Senior Sourcing Specialist” in Electronics components
Job descriptions of Senior Tactical Buyer:
· The Senior Tactical Buyer is responsible for maintaining system data integrity, management of ordering and expediting activities in support of business requirements. In addition, the tactical buyer is accountable for the development of relationships with key suppliers and ensuring current and future performance meets expectations. She/he will work closely with internal customers to identify, develop, and deliver effective commodity strategies that will support the future needs of the site.
· She/he accountable for executing strategies for facilitating new and second source supplier’s initiatives, partnering to qualify new suppliers, managing work transfer from one supplier to another.
· She/he able to back up the local Procurement Manager when it is needed.
· She/he is managing a mid/high complex scope with significant spend of minimum +10M$.
· She/he can easily travel to the supplier‘s facilities for expediting activities, relationship management or supporting audits.
Job description of Senior Sourcing Specialist
· The Senior sourcing specialist is leading a mid/high complex portfolio of 15-20+M USD spend to support Division commodity managers or work independently to execute individual sourcing projects and define the procurement strategy that supports the site’s objectives. She works closely with the Division and Supplier Quality Development team to minimize supply chain risks. He/she manages supply chain crisis with the suppliers in his/her scope and she works on recovery plans with the suppliers.
· He/she assists in contract execution and supplier reviews, and he/she creates, places and follows-up purchase orders to ensure the purchase of material at the right time, quality, quantity, and price. His/her responsibilities also include optimizing stock at all parts in his/her portfolio. The sourcing specialist also supports studies for make/buy decisions of the site and he/she follows up financial transactions with our suppliers.
· She/he able to back up the local Procurement Manager when it is needed.
· She/he can easily travel to the supplier‘s facilities for expediting activities, relationship management or supporting audits.
Job Holder requirements for both Senior Tactical Buyer & Senior Sourcing Specialist
- Good command in English
- Minimum 1 -2 years’ experience in Procurement/Supply Chain role.
- Experience within Aerospace or other High Technology industry.
- Focused, committed with ability to work with supervision.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate verbally and in writing at all levels internally and externally.
- Computer literacy including competence in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint Word & SAP.
- Experience managing MRP demand within a manufacturing environment would be an advantage.
- Outstanding negotiating and influencing skills.
- Creative with ability to think outside the box – excellent problem-solving skills.
